Rail Gourmet was established in 1994 and, since that date, has continued to grow through providing on-board and logistics solutions for the rail industry.

Rail Gourmet is 100% focused on the European rail industry and has detailed knowledge of, and experience in, running significant operations throughout Europe.

Rail Gourmet companies specialise in all aspects of rail catering - from detailed logistics and supply chain management to the highly personalised care and attention required to run significant on-board operations. Rail Gourmet also provides a number of non-catering services such as Train Care (In-Transit and turnaround train cleaning) and added value management information systems.

Rail Gourmet is committed to the rail industry and sees its future being the provision of on-board, logistics and other rail related activities, to train operating companies across Europe.

Our Organisiation

Rail Gourmet's parent company is SSP Group Limited which is owned by the private equity fund EQT IV.

Providing a full range of services to major UK train operating companies.

Rail Gourmet Belgium
Providing logistics to SNCB (Belgian Railways) for Thalys and eurostar trains and passenger lounge services for eurostar.

Rail Gourmet Ireland
Providing a full logistics and on-board catering service for Iarnród Éireann (Irish rail).

Rail Gourmet Togservice Norge (a joint venture between Rail Gourmet and Umoe Catering)
Providing catering logistics and other support services to NSB (Norwegian State Railways).

Avecra (a joint venture between Rail Gourmet and VR)
Providing a full logistics and on-board catering service for VR (Finnish Railways) and operating a wide range of station catering outlets at Helsinki and other main railway stations in Finland.

Momentum Services (a joint venture between SSP/Rail Gourmet and Cremonini)
Providing a full on-board catering service for eurostar.

Railrest (a joint venture between SSP/Rail Gourmet and Cremonini)
Providing a full on-board catering service for Thalys International.
